What is digital signage?

Put your store screens to work for your business.

Digital signage helps stores show products, offers, menus and service information on screens. Manage the content and timing online, then let a connected player handle playback at each store. Keep promotions relevant to the trading day and your brand message consistent across locations.

This guide covers customer-facing screens and digital signage software, rather than audio-only announcements or background music.

See how stores use it

Give each part of your trading day a clear promotional focus.

Help customers discover what you offer

Highlight new products, combinations or limited-time offers while customers order, wait or browse. Give your products another chance to be noticed.

Keep your brand message consistent across stores

Arrange a campaign centrally, then adapt the content to each store and time slot. Headquarters and stores can work from the same plan.

Give staff more time for customer service

Explain opening hours, collection instructions and service changes on screen, helping customers find information and reducing repeated explanations.

One store. Different moments to promote.

For a café, planning the day’s content in advance helps the screens follow the rhythm of the business.

You plan the promotion. The player brings it to the screen.

Think of the system as three roles. Management happens in the dashboard; playback happens at the store.

  1. Cloud dashboard CMS

Choose content, stores and times. Review the arrangement, then confirm publication.

  2. Store playback software Player

Connect to retrieve published schedules, download assets and play them as scheduled.

  3. Customer-facing display Screen

Present promotions and information at the entrance, counter or browsing area.

Publication comes first, followed by player synchronization. Publishing does not guarantee an immediate change on every screen.

Start with one screen and one promotional goal.

You do not need to plan every store at once. Choose what you want customers to notice, then check these essentials.

A suitable display
Check its location, orientation and connection ports. An existing television may be usable after a compatibility check.
A compatible player and network
DRMN uses certified, supported Android playback boxes. A network connection retrieves content and schedules; connectivity needs depend on the store.
Content you want customers to see
Prepare images or videos in the right orientation, then choose the stores, dates and time slots.

Use the dashboard day to day. Let AI help with repetitive planning.

AI is optional. When you need to adjust several stores, weekdays, weekends or time slots, a connected and authorized external AI tool can help prepare the arrangement. Review the content, timing and affected screens before confirming publication. AI image generation is provided by external tools, not built into DRMN.

See how AI can help

Questions before you get started.

Can I use a television I already own?

Possibly. Check its connection ports, orientation and compatibility with the playback box first. Suitable existing equipment can be assessed for use; you do not need to assume every screen must be replaced.

Is digital signage useful for just one store?

It depends on your promotional needs. A single store can use it to update products, menus or campaigns and show different content by time of day. As the business grows, you can manage more stores together.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Supported players can continue using available downloaded content and existing schedules. New assets and schedule changes still need a connection to synchronize. Content that has not finished downloading cannot be assumed to work offline.

Does using AI remove the need to review a schedule?

No. AI helps prepare arrangements; you review the content, timing and locations before publication. You can also manage everything directly in the dashboard without AI.

Do staff need to update every screen in person each day?

Routine content can be scheduled in the dashboard and synchronized by connected players. Stores still need working power and connectivity; installation, initial setup or equipment issues may need someone on site.

What determines the cost?

Start with the number of stores and screens, playback equipment and whether you need your own promotions or partner advertising. These help define a suitable plan and setup. Custom feature development is quoted separately; screen count alone does not determine the cost.
